Material Handler

Material Handler for Stockton Based Biodiesel Company

Join the exciting, growing industry of alternative fuels. Biodiesel is the nation’s fastest growing alternative fuel and we are seeking Material Handlers to join our Biodiesel production company. Our growing company provides training, many advancement opportunities and pay will be commensurate with experience.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Transfer of materials from railcars, trucks and tanks using electrical and air pumps
• Transfer, pumping and drumming of hazardous materials
• Change multiple filter cartridges periodically
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Ability to walk up and down a 4-story building multiple times each shift
• Ability to be a team player and follow strict safety and quality protocols
• Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills
• No facial hair that interferes with the respiratory program
• May have to work in small, confined spaces

Minimum Qualifications:

Any one of the following will qualify, although all applicants with some mechanical experience will be considered:

1. Two years of experience in a production-style facility,
2. Thirty semester hours of college; or
3. Training at a vocational-technical school in related subject area

Special Consideration (not required):

Special consideration will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:

a. Manufacturing experience

b. Industrial Safety and Health experience

c. Plant maintenance experience

d. Primary work location will be in the Port of Stockton; however willingness to travel is preferred

e. Willingness to work rotating shift

f. Welding, metal fabrication, pipe fitting and plant construction
