Brad Baker

Brad Baker, Chairman of the Board
Brad currently serves as the President and CEO for Codding Investments (www.codding.com) real estate development, property management and commercial construction company. He is a Director for Codding Steel Frame Solutions, a steel frame building solutions company. Brad is the visionary behind Sonoma Mountain Village (www.sonomamountainvillage.com), an internationally recognized mixed sustainable development. Jethren Phillips Jethren Phillips
Jethren is a proven entrepreneur with extensive experience in vegetable oils markets, manufacturing, marketing, and international trade.  He founded Spectrum Organic Products (www.spectrumorganics.com ), an industry recognized pioneering company, in 1986 and served as Spectrum’s Chairman of the Board until 2005 when the company was acquired by Hain Celestial.  Jethren founded New Organic Ventures in 2006 and this venture now includes American Health & Nutrition (a leading supplier of organic commodities and ingredients in North America), China Liaison Company (a leading importer of organic soybeans, soy meals and organic cereal grasses with offices in Beijing and Harbin) and Better Botanicals (a personal care company based on Ayervedic and herbal formuals). 
   
Phillip Moore

Phillip Moore
Phillip has over 30 years experience in all aspects of the food industry, from General Manager of major divisions of Fortune 500 companies to leading successful acquisitions teams. Phillip has held various financial positions within RJR/Del Monte, McCormick & Co. and Perimeter Sales and Merchandising.  In 1996, Phillip joined as Managing Partner to Monterey Bay Corporate Development (MBCD) (www.montereybaycorporatedevelopment.com), a team of industry professionals who specialize in providing advisory services to the food and natural products industry.  Since joining MBCD, Phillip has established MBCD as the leading mergers and acquisitions group in the natural and organic food industry.

   
Daniel Lanahan

Daniel Lanahan
Dan is the Chairman of Lanahan & Reilley LLP (www.lanahan.com).  He has a diverse transactional practice emphasizing on corporate law, particularly with start ups and finance for foreign and domestic businesses. Dan serves on numerous boards of businesses and non-profit organizations and is the founding sponsor of the North Bay Angels Investment Group.

Jeff is the owner of Allen LandDesign (www.allen-landscaping.com), Muchas Grasses and Olivet Groves.  With over 20 years experience as a business owner, Jeff has developed his skills in all aspects of business management, including financial, marketing and operations.
   
Lisa Mortenson Lisa Mortenson
Lisa Mortenson is the Chief Executive Officer of American Biodiesel, Inc. which does business as Community Fuels; she has a proven track record of managing complex initiatives, driving profit and building and leading multi-disciplinary teams.  Mortenson is a Director for Codding Steel Frame Solutions (www.coddingsfs.com), a company providing advanced, light steel frame technologies for residential and commercial buildings.  Mortenson serves as a California Steering Committee Member for the Apollo Alliance (www.apolloalliance.org), a broad-based constituency in support of a sustainable and clean energy economy.  By invitation from the California Energy Commission and the National Energy Center for Sustainable Communities, Mortenson serves on the Project Advisory Committee for the Chula Vista Research Project, an initiative designed to resolve the technical and market barriers to the creation of energy- and resource-efficient communities.  She also serves on the Business Advisory Board for the Eberhardt School of Business at The University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. 

Mortenson has Midwestern agricultural roots and has a diverse business background including thirteen years of accountability in revenue development and expansion strategies at Fortune 1000 companies.  She earned her MBA from San Diego State University and is a cum laude graduate from the University of Arizona where she earned her BSBA in Finance and Business Economics.  Prior to joining Community Fuels, she was a Regional Vice President with Ceridian Corporation.

 

 

Community Fuels has built a diverse team of chemists, engineers, plant managers, and business and finance managers who have the expertise and experience necessary to execute the company’s strategy to develop regional biodiesel production facilities and to develop and commercialize innovative process technologies and new feedstock sources.  Community Fuels builds relationships with organizations that contribute to the advancement of alternative energy and the company is frequently featured as a biodiesel speaker at meetings reaching key stakeholders, including state and federal policy makers, investors, fleet managers, and agricultural and environmental groups. To develop a broad support structure and network, Community Fuels is a member of the Sonoma Mountain Business Cluster (www.sonomamountainbusinesscluster.org), an incubator specializing in sustainable resources and in assisting entrepreneurial success.
