Michael D. Redemer Named President of Community Fuels

Encinitas, California, March 30, 2009— Community Fuels is pleased to announce that Mr. Michael
Redemer has been named President of Community Fuels. Mr. Redemer brings experience in the
development, commercialization and marketing of fuel technologies. "Community Fuels is marketing its
renewable fuel products to major petroleum marketers and sees a tremendous opportunity to grow its
market share and expand its operations in the coming years. Mr. Redemer’s leadership on the
management team will help us maximize the commercial potential of the company," states Lisa
Mortenson, CEO of Community Fuels. "I am excited about the potential for Community Fuels to become
the biofuels market leader in the region and look forward to playing a leadership role in contributing to
the success of the company." says Mr. Redemer.
Mr. Redemer's experience includes 26 years in the energy industry including management positions with
Beacon Oil Company, Texaco and Chevron Corporation. Prior experience also includes working with
clean technology company ORYXE Energy International and as founder and CEO of Hydrogen Solution
international (HSi). He also served as Manager of Air Quality Planning for the California Air Resources
Board.
Mr. Redemer's experience in the petroleum industry ranged from environmental compliance for refining
operations, P&L responsibility for transportation operations, planning and oversight of technology
development and commercialization, and venture investment in early stage companies. At ORYXE
Energy, a fuel additive technology company, Mr. Redemer was responsible for product
commercialization and business development. As CEO of HSi, a hydrogen fuel storage technology
company, Mr. Redemer was successful in moving a technology from concept to prototype and secured
both grant and joint development financing from government agencies and the private sector respectively.
Mr. Redemer earned his Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Southern
California, and a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Biology from the University of California at Santa
Barbara. Among his many activities, he served as the Chairman of the American Petroleum Institute
Fuels Committee and the Western States Petroleum Association Fuels Committee. He was a member of
the U.S. EPA Clean Air Act Advisory Committee Mobile Source Technical Review Subcommittee & the
EPA Phase II RFG Implementation Work Group Member.
